This is not about lectures and classrooms. Well, unless you realize that everywhere you are is a classroom. Every opportunity to interact is a “coachable moment.” The thing that managers often do is forget that they can be coached as well. If you are not constantly pursuing improvement, you will be beaten. Ie you do not encourage that voracious appetite for a better solution in your people, you are unfit to lead.
Sorry to sound aggressive (not really) but if you are not moving forward, you are moving backward. You must make this constant pursuit of improvement part of your culture if you plan to achieve amazing results.
